Napoli striker Lorenzo Insigne has revealed that renewing his contract is not easy. But he reiterated that he wanted to focus on his performance on the field.

The Napoli captain has entered the final year of his contract at the Stadio Diego Maradona and the two sides are trying to reach an agreement.

However, Insigne insists he won’t let uncertain moments interfere with his superb start to the season, with Napoli currently top of Serie A.

“I want to focus on the pitch,” Insigne said at the Festival dello Sport, according to Sky Sport Italia.

“I have a contract until 2022, although it is nearing the end of it. So I just want to concentrate on the field. for other situations My representative talked to the president of the club. It’s not easy.”

The Partenopei captain is focusing on the season as his side are sitting top of the Serie A table.
